My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching style is built off the idea that singing is and should be fun! Singing is playful, it is creative, it is healing, and it is powerful. Singing opens up pathways for us to express ourselves and brings deeper awareness to our body, breath, and voice.

In your first lesson with me, I will meet you where you are. I love hearing about what kind of music inspires you, your wildest singing aspirations, and what part of your voice you need help discovering. From there, I will cater my teaching to you and your goals.

Together, we will work towards gaining a greater understanding on all that your voice has to offer. I see  lessons as a way to unlock your unique singing voice through proper breathing technique and releasing of tension.

Singing should feel good!

My desire is that every student finds trust in their voice and the freedom to express, and with that I hope each student finds deeper trust and confidence in themselves.
